Our Focus

Tackling Challenges of Poverty for Women in Asia

Poverty remains one of the most pressing social and economic challenges in South Asia, with women disproportionately affected despite the region’s growing economies.

80M

Over 80 million women and girls in Central and Southern Asia live on less than $1.90 a day, making up more than one-fifth of the global female population in extreme poverty.

60%

In South Asia, over 60% of individuals from poor households have education only up to the elementary level, limiting opportunities for women to secure better-paying jobs.

Our Partners

Global Grace serves vulnerable communities worldwide through programs addressing education, health, and economic development. In 2018, Global Grace launched the Sewing Institute, inspiring the formation of Women Helping Women. Together, we’ve established ten Sewing Institutes across India.

Women Helping Women falls under the umbrella of the Second Chance Network and the leadership of Ken and Tessie Gurley and Tyler and T’Neil Walea.  The Second Chance Network is an “others-based”, non-profit ministry that works to bring people one step closer to Jesus by meeting them in their place of need.

Support Our Cause Today

Join us in empowering underprivileged women through entrepreneurship and sewing skills.

Our Approach

Sewing

From threading the first needle to mastering advanced techniques, participants learn to create everything from clothing to home goods, unlocking their potential to sew with purpose.

Entrepreneurship

Women learn essential skills to run their own personal businesses, from managing finances to marketing their services. The program empowers them with the tools and confidence to turn their talents into successful, sustainable ventures.

Health

We address vital health needs by providing education and resources to promote overall well-being. Our initiatives empower individuals to make informed health decisions and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Our Journey So Far

Discover the major milestones and achievements of our charity.

2013

Global Grace Institute

Daniel and Christina Coffield launched Global Grace in 2013 to serve the vulnerable and marginalized around the globe. In 2014, a miraculous email connected us with 165 orphaned or abandoned children in India and our core program was launched: Global Grace Children. Since then we have increased the number of children in our care to over 200 and fought to improve their nutrition, health, education, and housing.

2018

Global Grace Sewing Founded

The Global Grace Sewing Institute launched in 2018 with its inaugural class of 30 women pursuing entrepreneurship to help financially support their struggling families. Also in 2018, we saw the plight of many homeless, elderly widows in the communities we serve and opened a care home called Women of Grace.

2018

Women Helping Women Founded

Upon hearing about the Global Grace Sewing Institute, Clifford and Judy Pereira, champions of charitable causes and humanitarian efforts across Asia, immediately saw the benefits the program could bring to women across India.  Women Helping Women soon formed, and the Global Grace Sewing Institute became its cornerstone.

2024

Inspiring Change

As of 2024, we have established 10 Global Grace Sewing Institutes, provided over 400 sewing machines, and celebrated the graduation of more than 75 women—and we’re committed to opening even more institutes and empowering countless future graduates.

Women Helping Women is changing lives by equipping women in Asia with the skills and resources they need to build a sustainable future. Through sewing and entrepreneurship training, these women gain independence, dignity, and the ability to support their families. I am honored to be a donor and to stand behind this incredible mission. I invite you to join me in empowering women to break the cycle of poverty—because when we invest in women, we transform entire communities.
